Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelskyy on March 15 said that his torn war was prepared to receive security guarantees that stopped the long-term goal of the NATO alliance membership, who opposed Russia.
Zelskyy said that the country realized that it could not join the Alliance of North Atlantic Agreement (NATO).
Speaking to representatives from the British Joint Business Force (Jef) today, Zelskyy said that we heard for years about the NATO door which was allegedly opened, but we had heard that we would not be able to join.
If we can’t enter through the door open, then we have to work with the associations we can, who will help us, protect us … and have a separate guarantee,” he added.
He further said that it is the truth that we must recognize, and I am happy that our people begin to realize that and rely on themselves and our partners who help us.
One of Zelenskiy’s top maids said the war would end in May, or even ended up in a few weeks, because Russia was running out of new troops.
We are in a fork on the road now,” said Oleksisyy Arestovich in a video. He said he expected a peace agreement in one or two weeks or other Russian efforts with new reinforcements, which could extend the conflict for another month.
I think it’s no slower in May, early May, we must have a peace agreement, it might be much early: we will see,” Arestovich said.
In Rivne in West Ukraine, officials said 19 people were killed in a Russian air strike in the TV tower. If confirmed it will be the worst attack on the civilian target so far in the northwest where Russian land forces have not moved.
Peace negotiations have focused so far on the local ceasefire to let civilians evacuate and bring assistance to the surrounding cities.
