Taliban on Friday claims that the Emirates of Islam have fulfilled the commitment to international recognition.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Taliban Amir Khan Muttaqi said that the Islamic Emirates had been inclusive and had fulfilled all the requirements and must be recognized by the international community, reporting Tolo news.
Talking with the Turkish Trt World news channel, Muttaqi said, “To recognize the government, there is a need for borders, humans, and security. Because we have all this, we have fulfilled the requirements to be recognized.”
Meanwhile some analysts say in addition to international recognition, the Taliban must also take steps in the country, report Tolo News.Legitimacy must be obtained domestically through free elections where every citizen gives one vote to choose their government and people see themselves in the government, “said an international relations analyst.
UNAMA’s mandate renewal by the UN Security Council itself shows that the world wants to stay with Afghanistan. But I hope the Islamic Emirates hold the National Meeting (Jirga) where participants from all walks of life attend,” Shahzada Massoud, said a political analyst.
It has been almost six months after the Taliban recaptured power in Afghanistan but they have not been recognized by any country.
The Taliban, who was desperate to seek international recognition, and had time and again reminded that honoring women and human rights, establishing an inclusive government, did not allow Afghanistan to be a safe place of terrorism which was a prerequisite set by the international community. .
