Pakistani and Afghanistan Taliban security forces still exchanged fires across the Durand line. The latest incidents occur in Hamlet such as Ganjagaal, Sudao and Kunar – in the Bajaur area – on Friday. Reports on local media and video tweeted by journalists showed both sides of shooting.
According to several reports, the shooting continued for 30 minutes on Friday afternoon.
The shooting began after the sniper, reportedly belonging to the Taliban, shot dead two sir soldiers where the border fence was installed. Pakistani side opened fire on border hamlets in response, encouraging retaliation from Afghanistan.
Heavy clashes occurred in the area, with a number of shells and artillery that hit the villagers, the local report further said.
