Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershnin, after Monday’s consultation on Unsc problems between him and Reenat Sandhu, West Secretary at the Ministry of External Affairs, said ‘This is premature to talk about recognizing the current government in Kabul.

He also mentioned that it was clear that humanitarian assistance for Afghans must be given, and provided by the US and India.
Vershnin said that assistance to Afghans “must be continued, for reasons including that the presence of 20 years of America and their allies in Afghanistan which has caused the situation to be so sad lately, including from a humanitarian perspective.”

During consultation, the Russian told India about their point of view of what had happened in Ukraine and on tensions fought by Western countries, NATO and the United States.
