Kiev: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said eight people, including a three-month-old baby, was killed during the Russian shooting in the port city of Odessa.
The missile was fired on Saturday afternoon with the TU-95 strategic plane that flew over the waters of the Kaspian Sea, Ukrayinska Pravda reported.
According to a preliminary report, two air targets were shot down by Ukrainian air defense, while two other missiles hit military facilities and two housing buildings.
Overcoming a press conference on Saturday night, the President said that Russia fired a total of seven missiles to Odessa, where two were shot down.
Condemning the incident, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Russia must be recognized as a sponsor of terrorism.
The only purpose of the Russian missile strike in Odessa is terror. Russia must be recognized as a sponsor of terrorism and treated accordingly. There is no business, no contact, no cultural project. We need a wall between civilization and the barbarian which is a shell of the peaceful city”, he said in a tweet.
In a statement on Saturday night, the Russian defense ministry reported that their missiles only hit military depots “where a large number of foreign weapons received from the US and European countries were stored”.
