More than two dozen girls and women have protested in front of the Ministry of Education in the capital, Kabul, days after the Taliban government closed high school to further notice, after the Afghan group accused of denying its promise in higher education for girls.
Thousands of happy girls in Afghanistan have flocked to the learning institution on Wednesday – the date of the Ministry of Education has set a class to be continued for girls of all ages. But only hours for the first day, the Ministry announced a reversal of a surprise policy that left children who said that they felt betrayed and foreign governments expressed anger.
On Friday, the United States canceled planned talks with the Taliban in Qatar which was set to overcome the main economic problems after the group’s decision to close the school.
The decision, which has not been explained by the Taliban, means that women above class six will not be able to go to school.
