Boris Johnson resigned as the British Prime Minister on Thursday. And when he prepared to say goodbye in a strong position, staff at the world famous candle museum, Madame Tussauds, in Blackpool was busy working. They moved the statue of the Tory leader from the museum outside the work center.
The statue, known for his attention in details like the creations of all other Madame Tussauds, showed Mr. Johnson who grinned with his hand placed on the waist, wearing a suit with a blue tie.
And, there is no need for the statue of former prime minister, now on the sidewalk, to attract some eyeballs and many laughter. Some members of the community did not lose time in pose with a statue of Johnson wearing a suit with a powdered blue tie and a messy hair.
Some of these images also go to social media, becoming viral in a short time. The statue image was shared on Twitter with a handle, “Madame Tussauds,” with that note, “Boris X Blackpool.”
The candle shifted was only launched in Madame Tussauds in March. According to reports by Lancs Live, the statue takes eight months to plan and make. As many as 20 artists worked together for several hundred hours to carry the statue to produce results.
And, not only Madame Tussauds in Blackpool has changed their Boris Johnson installation. Madame Tussauds in London has also updated 10 Downing Street Display to show the leader who stands next to the downing street sign that smiles at the door number 10 with a “vacancy” sign, added the report.
Madame Tussauds has also confirmed that the figure of Candles Johnson will be removed from the London Center and he is no longer the prime minister, reporting the BBC.
Boris Johnson resigned on Thursday after months of scandal threatening the smooth functioning of his office and leadership. A new Tory leader will now be elected to replace Mr. Johnson.
